I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 two days ago and immediately after startup I get always an error message: 'sqlmangr: the ordinal 1 could not be located in the dynamic link library C: Windows System32 sqlunirl.dll' I have a legacy software (Food Processor SQL) that use a SQL server. This software had no issue at all in Windows 8.1 and it runs fine in Windows 10, but any time I restart, I get this annoying error message. Since this Windows 10 is a Virtual Machine (VM) running in Parallels 10 in a Macbook Pro, I did a little experiment: I cloned this VM, uninstalled the Food Processor and try to reinstall it again, but I could not do it. But the message error disappeared. Now I have 2 Virtual Machines running Windows 10: 1) One without error message but without The Food Processor (Nutrition software) which I need it. 2) The other with Food Processor but with the error message.

I could go either way so I appreciate your help to: 1) Fix the error message in the one that has The Food Processor or 2) Help to install the Food Processor in the one that does not have the error message. Thanks Alberto: The legacy software The Food Processor SQL v9.5 (ESHA) has two modules: the client module and the database engine (SQL server), so the installed SQL server in my laptop is the version provided by ESHA: Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (ESHA). Since v9.5 is from 2004, I guess the SQL server is before 2004, which is not compatible with Windows 10. But it was running fine in Windows 8.1 in compatibility mode with Windows XP SP3. Funny thing is that the 'Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (ESHA)' is installed in my two Virtual Machines (VMs) of Windows 10: 1) The one that has the error message and the Food Processor SQL (running fine) and 2) The one that no has the error message but neither has the Food Processor (because I uninstalled it and was not able to install it again). I am not computer literate but if the SQL is causing the error message, this should be in both VMs because both has the same SQL server, no?

Also, I have been trying to install just the client module of the Food Processor hoping that it will work with a SQL Server 2012 but I don´t know if this will be possible for a software that old. But the installation freeze at some point without any error message. I am still open two fix any version of my two VMs of Windows 10: the one with the error message and working Food Processor and the one without error message or Food Processor. Somebody is this forum wrote me to download the sqlunirl.dll file and copy to the Windows 32 folder in Windows but it did not work: the error message persisted. (Any suggestions is welcome.

I know this worked fine in Windows 8.1 Windows 10 VM # 2: (error message + Food Processor). I run the software as administrator in compatibility mode Windows XP SP3 and it runs fine. But the error message still appears at reboot.

Again, I just want to fix the error message in VM # 2 or being able to install the software in VM # 1.
